ADMISSION INTO THE SEMINARY AT KADUNA ARCHDIOCESE
ADMISSION
Admission to be trained as a Catholic priest under the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna is free based on the prerequisite of gaining admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions. This is open to all young Catholics who meet the requirements as stated below:
1. Must be baptized and confirmed
2. Must possess at least five (5) credits in Mathematics, English, CRS and any other two subjects
3. He must be born and raised in the Archdiocese of Kaduna and can speak hausa language fluently
4. He must be with the age of 18-21 at the point of application
5. He must have common sense
6. He should have strong faith
7. He must be physically healthy
Submission of application letters begins January - April every year.
Applicant should request for a recommendation from his Parish priest/Priest Incharge at the point of applying. The priest will directly submit the recommendation letter to the Vocations Director.
APPEAL:
To all well meaning Catholics within and outside the Archdiocese, the work of mission is our collective responsibility. Some go to mission by giving their children to become priest, some go to mission by supporting the Archbishop financially in the training of Seminarians.
The cost of training a seminarian annually is #300,000.
